RESIDENT EVIL 3 | IT'S TIME TO GO BACK TO RACOON CITY

The Resident Evil 3 remake demo just dropped and I'm bored of playing Plague Inc (funny how I've moved from one game about infections to another, during this time), so I thought I'd pick it up. I really enjoyed the original games and the sheer terror I felt when playing it as a teenage boy during the late 90s, has yet to be matched.

If you are new to the series and a fan of zombie and horror genres, I'd suggest that you check out the remakes as you'll find really unique graphics and better AI. I am aware know from experience, that older games really do not appeal to the younger generation because the graphics suck, or at least the younger folks can't appreciate them in the same way we do, this is one way to enjoy those classics with modern graphics and varied camera angles.

That being said, I'm a sucker for the old ones and the nostalgia I feel when playing them. The demo, just like the Resident Evil 2 remake from last year,  uses the game engine developed for Resident Evil 7, and take it from me, it looks absolutely stunning. Resident Evil 7, by the way, was a nice diversion from the usual 3rd person camera angle (It's completely 1st person!) and is probably one of my favourites amongst the newer games.

Of course, the demo game in its current state is not a proper representation of the final product, which will be released on the 3rd of April this year, and because we are most likely cooped up-indoors. I will be writing that date into my nonexistent diary!

So, where can you get the demo? Well, it's currently available to download, for free, on Steam. Initially, I had to do a bit of digging around for it, as it isn't listed on the actual Resident Evil 3 page, however, you can get it over on Steam if you don't fancy searching around!

The game is around 8GB in size so it shouldn't take too long to download, given the speed of the internet these days. The demo is pretty short so I won't spoil anything that happens in it and leave it to you guys to experience it for yourselves!

Happy Isolation, get yourself stuck into outdoor living vicariously through Resident Evil.
